Brecknock Township, PA (May 10, 2025) – Two people were killed and one person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning on the eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike in Brecknock Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. near the Reading Interchange. Authorities reported that the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and then collided with a bridge structure. Both the driver and one passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger, who was seated in the front, sustained injuries and was transported to Reading Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has not released additional information as of Saturday afternoon. The crash remains under investigation by State Police Troop T, which oversees the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
