Driver Killed in Two-Car Crash

Long Island, NY (November 2, 2025) – A driver was killed early Sunday morning following a two-car crash on the Southern State Parkway, according to the New York State Police.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes near the Meadowbrook Parkway exit. Troopers and emergency responders arrived on scene shortly after the collision and found one of the drivers with severe injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police confirmed.

Authorities have not yet released the driver’s identity, and no information has been provided regarding the condition of the second driver or the cause of the crash. Multiple westbound lanes were closed for several hours as investigators worked at the scene. The roadway reopened around 10:55 a.m.
