Clayton, New York – A man from Evans Mills was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on County Route 54 in the town of Clayton, Jefferson County. The incident occurred on March 27, 2025, at approximately 4:46 PM.

According to the New York State Police in Watertown, the driver, identified as Marc Bryan Gross, 45, was traveling in a Toyota Tacoma when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Gross was pronounced deceased at the scene.
