East Coast Demerara (April 27, 2025) – Deputy Superintendent of Police Dexter Brown tragically passed away early yesterday morning after losing control of his vehicle and colliding with a concrete bridge on the Montrose Public Road. The incident occurred around 1:20 AM.
The 37-year-old officer, who lived on Toucan Drive in South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown, was driving motorcar PAG 6458 at the time. This vehicle is registered to a 30-year-old businesswoman from Ann’s Grove, also located on the East Coast of Demerara.
The police have released a statement confirming the unfortunate accident, which has grieved the local law enforcement community.
