Pike County, PA (April 26, 2025) – One man died and another was injured following a two-car crash Saturday morning on Route 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The crash occurred just before 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of US-6 and Kimbles Road.
Authorities said 78-year-old Frederic Underhill, of Maryknoll, New York, was traveling westbound on Route 6 when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck an oncoming vehicle.
Underhill died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, though their current condition remains unknown.
Officials confirmed that Route 6 reopened around 2:35 p.m. following the investigation and cleanup.
