Rochester, NY (April 18, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash occurred Friday morning on Interstate 490 near the Meigs Street overpass, according to the New York State Police.
The collision happened around 8:30 a.m. and resulted in one individual being transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported by the New York Police.
Investigators say the crash was caused by a chain reaction in heavy traffic. One vehicle was rear-ended, which caused it to veer sideways and sideswipe a third vehicle.
The incident caused delays in the westbound lanes of I-490 while emergency crews responded and cleared the scene.
We send our best wishes to the injured driver and hope for a full recovery.
