York County, PA – Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Route 30

Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Route 30

York County, PA (December 2, 2025) – First responders were busy across York County Tuesday morning as wintry weather created hazardous driving conditions, leading to multiple incidents, including a serious single-vehicle rollover crash.

The rollover took place around 7:47 a.m. on 2nd December, 2025, on Route 30 West near Schimmel Lane and the exit for North Front Street. Fire police were on scene directing traffic while Wrightsville Fire crews and Hellam Police managed the incident.

Emergency dispatchers indicated that no injuries have been reported at this time.

Understanding Liability After a Weather-Related Crash in Pennsylvania

Any single-vehicle crash attributed to snow or ice requires a thorough investigation, as drivers in Pennsylvania have a heightened duty of care to operate their vehicles based on current weather conditions. An investigation would look into whether the driver reduced speed or took other reasonable precautions, because failing to adjust driving behavior for conditions is frequently considered negligence. Furthermore, Pennsylvania uses a modified comparative negligence rule, meaning that if the driver of the crashed vehicle is found to be 51% or more at fault, they are barred from recovering any damages from another party. If they are 50% or less at fault, any recovery is reduced by their percentage of blame.
