Endwell, NY – State Trooper & 69-Year-Old Woman Injured in East Main St Crash

State Trooper, Woman Hurt in Endwell Rush-Hour Crash

Endwell, NY (21 November 2025) The state trooper and the 69-year-old woman were injured in a head-on collision on Friday morning in Endwell.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of East Main Street and Chaumont Drive, according to New York State Police. Investigators say the trooper was traveling westbound when his patrol vehicle collided with a Toyota Camry turning left into the parking lot of the Town of Union office building.

Police reported that the Toyota’s driver failed to yield the right of way while attempting the turn.

The trooper, whose name has not been released, was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, treated for his injuries, and later released. The 69-year-old woman was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The crash remains under investigation.

Left-Turn Collisions and Liability in New York

Left-turn crashes are among the most common sources of serious traffic injuries. Under New York law, a driver making a left turn must yield to oncoming traffic unless it is safe to proceed. Failure to yield often places liability on the turning driver, but investigators still consider other factors, including speed, roadway conditions, and visibility.

Victims of these collisions may face medical expenses, lost wages, and insurance disputes. Speaking with a New York personal injury attorney early can protect access to evidence and help establish fault clearly.
