Syracuse, NY (April 25, 2025) – A woman was critically injured on Friday after a serious crash at the intersection of South Salina Street and Kennedy Street, according to the Syracuse Police Department.
The accident occurred around 12:01 p.m. and involved a single vehicle that collided with a utility pole. Emergency responders arrived to find a woman in her 50s unconscious inside her car. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Due to the crash, South Salina Street between Kennedy Street and Martin Luther King East was closed to traffic, and power outages were reported in the surrounding area. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
