Tonawanda, NY (April 28, 2025) – A 10-year-old girl was critically injured after being struck by an SUV while riding an electric bicycle, according to Tonawanda Police.
The crash happened Monday around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Fletcher Street. Authorities said a 69-year-old man was driving the SUV northbound when he collided with the girl, who was traveling eastbound on the e-bike.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and the girl was transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. She has been identified by her mother as Eliana Williams, a student at Holmes Elementary School. The driver remained at the scene, and no charges have been announced as of yet.
The incident remains under investigation by the Tonawanda Police Department.
