Dauphin County, PA (November 24, 2025) – A tractor-trailer crash early Monday morning caused significant traffic disruptions on Route 283 East in Dauphin County, according to PennDOT.
The accident occurred around 8:45 a.m. on 24th Nov, 2025, near mile marker 6, when a westbound tractor-trailer crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in a crash. Although no significant injuries were reported, both eastbound lanes were shut down between the Middletown Road exit and the PA 230/PA 341 – Toll House Road exit.
The left westbound lane was also closed, causing heavy delays for westbound drivers. PennDOT warned travelers in the area to expect traffic congestion while crews worked to clear the scene.
The road was reopened later, but the cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
