Lancaster County (November 28, 2025) – Two people died, and two others were left in critical condition following a tragic head-on collision that occurred on Friday night in West Lampeter Township.
At approximately 9:41 p.m., police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the area of Lampeter Road and Paramount Ave for a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles: a white Honda Civic and a white Nissan sedan.
Crews confirmed that the male driver of the Honda and a female passenger in the Nissan both died at the scene. Two other occupants of the Nissan, a male and a female, were transported to Lancaster General Hospital in critical condition.

Understanding Wrongful Death and Catastrophic Injury in a Car Accident in Pennsylvania
This crash involves both multiple fatalities and critical injuries, establishing the highest degree of harm in a personal injury case. A head-on collision is a strong indicator that one driver crossed the center line, suggesting a high degree of negligence, potentially involving distraction, speed, or impairment.
Under Pennsylvania law, the families of the two deceased individuals have the right to file separate Wrongful Death and Survival Actions to seek compensation. A wrongful death action covers the family’s personal losses (like funeral expenses and loss of financial support). In contrast, a survival action seeks compensation for the pain and suffering the deceased endured between the moment of impact and the time of death.
For the two occupants who were critically injured, a claim would seek recovery for their catastrophic damages, including all past and future medical bills, lost wages, and compensation for pain and suffering. Pennsylvania follows the modified comparative negligence rule, meaning that if one driver is found to be 51% or more at fault, the other vehicle’s occupants may pursue a full claim against them.
