Hudson Valley, NY – Authorities have identified what may have led to a tragic accident in the Hudson Valley. On Tuesday evening, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office responded to a deadly two-vehicle crash that took place in the Town of Pawling around 7:05 p.m.
The incident occurred on Old Quaker Hill Rd, close to Meeting House Rd in Pawling. Officers received reports of a serious collision and quickly arrived at the scene. There, they found Lisa M. Gutierrez, a 52-year-old resident of Pawling, suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was subsequently rushed to Danbury Hospital, but unfortunately, she passed away on Wednesday.
Authorities later confirmed that the other driver involved in the crash remained unhurt.
As for the cause of the accident, preliminary investigations indicate that a 2024 BMW driven by Gutierrez was headed southbound on Old Quaker Hill Rd when it veered over the center line and collided with a northbound Ford pickup truck.
