Rochester, NY – 10-Year-Old Crashes SUV Into Clothing Store and Parked Vehicles

Rochester, NY (April 13, 2025) – A parked SUV rolled forward on Sunday afternoon in Rochester after a 10-year-old child inside the vehicle unintentionally shifted it into drive. The vehicle struck two parked cars and the front of a clothing store on Lyell Avenue.

The incident happened around 3:07 p.m. outside the Rainbow clothing store. According to local authorities, the Jeep Cherokee had been left running when the child moved into the driver’s seat. The SUV then struck a 2022 GMC Acadia and a 2018 Subaru Forester and eventually made contact with the storefront.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and there was no structural damage to the building.
