[01-13-2025] – 1-car rollover accident on New York State Thruway in West Nyack

West Nyack, NY – A one-car rollover accident occurred overnight on the New York State Thruway in West Nyack, near the Palisades Center.

State Police reported the incident around 1:30 a.m., when a vehicle traveling southbound lost control and overturned. The car came to rest on the shoulder between the entrance ramp and the southbound lanes.

In response, the entrance ramp to the southbound Thruway and the right shoulder were temporarily closed, although the main traffic lanes remained open. Crews worked to clear the scene, with the vehicle removed by 5 a.m. and the ramp reopened shortly afterward.

State Police are continuing their investigation and have not yet disclosed whether there were any injuries resulting from the crash.
