Doing Well by Doing Good

Music for the Mission is Stanley Law’s charitable 501c3 organization founded to help the most needy and at risk people in the communities we serve. It is a fully 100% Volunteer organization. Every penny raised goes right back to those who need food and shelter. “M4M” partners with front line non-profits working to shelter and feed thousands and thousands of people across Upstate New York.

Using music as a means to raise awareness and funding for neighbors in need seemed a natural thing to do. Joe Stanley’s love for music and for giving back has fueled collaborations with incredibly talented artists, heart-driven volunteers, concert promoters, songwriters, media partners, to raise tens of thousands of dollars since the charity’s inception.

Music for the Mission serves all of Upstate NY

The largest collaboration to date is the song “We Are One” written by Bob Halligan, Jr, recorded at Subcat Studios in Syracuse, and performed by over 40 local and regional artists. Every artist volunteered, Subcat Studios donated studio time, media companies donated air time to promote and play the song. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. This past holiday season a Christmas version was recorded of the song “We Are One (Christmas is Here) and is now also available for download.

Each song is just 99 cents which feeds a family of three!

We are all in this together – and what we do for our neighbor we in turn do for ourselves. Kindness is the new normal and we’re here to sing that from the highest peak and lowest valley through Music for the Mission’s efforts!

If you’re a musician, a club owner, a concert promoter, or a grassroots non-profit that could benefit from an M4M mini-grant, we want to hear from you! Because our little town can show the world!
