Town of Geddes, NY (July 20, 2026) – A woman in her 60s was struck by a vehicle in the early morning hours in the Town of Geddes, suffering a traumatic head injury and sustaining other body trauma, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office said. She was transported to Upstate Downtown Hospital, where she remained listed in critical condition.
Deputies responded to the intersection of West Granger and South Terry Road at approximately 5:09 a.m. on July 20 following reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. The pedestrian suffered a traumatic head injury along with other body trauma.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, called 911, and provided aid to the injured woman until first responders arrived, the sheriff’s office said. The driver has been cooperating with OCSO deputies and detectives throughout the investigation. Neither the pedestrian’s name nor the driver’s name has been released while the investigation remains active.
South Terry Road was closed for several hours on the morning of July 20 as evidence technicians from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office photographed and processed the crash scene.
