Elbridge, NY (October 7, 2025) – Mark S. Clements, 60, of Syracuse, was critically injured Monday morning in a collision between his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Ford Explorer driven by Elizabeth R. Shapiro, 32, of Florida, on Route 5 in the town of Elbridge.
State Police reported that the crash occurred around 10:52 a.m. October 6th, 2025, east of the village of Elbridge. Shapiro had stopped at the intersection of Kester Road to make a left turn when Clements’ motorcycle, traveling eastbound on Route 5, struck the driver’s side front of her vehicle.
Clements was transported to Upstate University Hospital with critical injuries and is now in stable condition. Shapiro was unharmed in the collision.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash, including traffic conditions and right-of-way factors.
