[03-22-2025] – Three Killed in Clarion County Crash on Route 68, Including Two Teenagers

Rimersburg, PA – A tragic two-vehicle crash in Clarion County on Saturday afternoon claimed the lives of two teenagers and a man in his 50s. The incident occurred on March 22, 2025, along Route 68 in Toby Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a northbound vehicle crossed the double yellow lines on Route 68 and struck a southbound vehicle head-on. The driver and passenger of the northbound vehicle, both juveniles, were pronounced dead at the scene.

They have been identified as 16-year-olds Landon Akins and Cambrie Priester. The driver of the southbound vehicle, 55-year-old Christopher McNutt, also died in the crash. A juvenile passenger in McNutt’s vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The Union School District released a statement acknowledging the devastating loss affecting local families and students.

“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of a sudden loss of life affecting several families within our school district and the entire local community,” the district said.

Counselors, staff, and local clergy members are available to support students and families.

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Cambrie Priester, a sophomore at Union High School, and Landon Akins, a student at Armstrong Junior/Senior High School.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
