Allegheny Twp., PA – On Sunday evening, first responders including paramedics were on the scene following a rollover crash involving a side-by-side vehicle near 430 Slater Rd in Allegheny Township. The accident occurred around 7:08 p.m., resulting in injuries to two people, one of whom was initially unable to move because of her injuries.
Emergency crews from Stations 32 and 55, together with Medic 956, were quickly dispatched to assist those involved. Within minutes of arriving, additional help was called for, leading to the dispatch of a second EMS unit, 56-2. This unit was responding shortly after finishing a previous hospital transport.
Though a medical helicopter, Stat 16, was initially considered for transportation, it was ultimately canceled after evaluations at the scene indicated that both patients were conscious and stable. One individual suffered a knee injury, while the other reported pain in their hip and back.
Both injured parties were transported to BMH, with one being taken by EMS 55-3 and the other by EMS 56-2. Medic 956 provided care for the patients during transport. The scene was cleared by 7:57 p.m.
Currently, authorities have not released any additional details regarding the cause of the crash, which took place on a rural section of Slater Rd.
