[03-30-2025] – Motorcyclist Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-476 Near Lehigh Valley Tunnel

Lehigh County, PA – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday morning in a tragic wrong-way collision on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476) near the Lehigh Valley Tunnel. The incident occurred around 9:10 AM on March 30, 2025, near mile marker 67 in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes struck the motorcyclist head-on. The victim, a 50-year-old man from Bristol, Bucks County, was part of a group of five motorcyclists riding together at the time of the crash.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The coroner’s office confirmed that an autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause of death.
