Rostraver Township, PA (October 26, 2025) – A 52-year-old Monessen man, identified as Darren Snyder, was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Rostraver Township, according to local police.
The crash occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on October 25th, 2025, in the 800 block of Rostraver Road, where responding officers found Snyder lying in the roadway after being hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials confirmed.
Authorities say the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement during the investigation. As a result of the crash, Rostraver Road was closed for approximately two hours while emergency crews worked on the scene.
