Amherst, NY (August 01, 2025) – According to police, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a passenger car on Friday morning in Amherst. The accident occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Campus Drive.

Amherst police responded to the scene, and both the injured motorcyclist and the driver of the passenger car were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC).

Main Street was closed to traffic in both directions from Harlem Road to Mount Vernon Road for over four hours. The crash is still under investigation.
