Amherst, NY (July 22, 2025) – A single-vehicle crash occurred early Tuesday morning on Kensington Avenue when a 2018 Ford Ecosport lost control, crossed into the northbound lanes, and struck a utility pole.
The 37-year-old male driver and his 40-year-old wife, both from Cheektowaga, sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to ECMC by Twin City Ambulance.
The crash temporarily closed Kensington Avenue between Bentham Parkway and Kingsgate South as Amherst Police conducted an investigation.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to call 716-689-1311.
