Buffalo, NY (May 1, 2025) – A late-night crash on the westbound side of Interstate 90 near Exit 50 left at least one person injured and prompted a significant emergency response.
The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. Thursday, resulting in the closure of the left lane as paramedics, fire crews, and law enforcement worked to assist the injured and secure the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the extent of the injuries or the number of vehicles involved. The crash happened at a critical junction connecting I-90 and I-290, which typically sees heavy traffic during the day.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. Driver fatigue and nighttime visibility conditions are among the factors being reviewed.
