Chenango, NY (May 3, 2025) – One person was injured in a car crash Saturday morning on Interstate 81 near Chenango, according to local emergency officials.
Firefighters from Chenango and Binghamton responded to the scene and used the jaws of life to extricate the driver, who was pinned between the door and the center console. Crews removed the entire console to free the victim safely.
The female driver was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries to her left arm and leg. No additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
