East Syracuse, NY (May 7, 2025) – A crash with injuries occurred Wednesday night on the southbound side of Interstate 481 near Exit 6, just before the I-90 interchange in East Syracuse, according to NYSDOT officials.
Emergency crews responded around 9:10 p.m. and found one or more individuals injured. The left lane was blocked while responders provided medical assistance and cleared the scene. The exact number of vehicles involved and the severity of injuries have not been confirmed.
Traffic was significantly delayed due to the crash’s proximity to a major junction. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and are examining possible contributing factors such as driver behavior, traffic conditions, or roadway visibility.
