Floyd, NY (June 6, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred on State Route 49 in the town of Floyd on June 6, 2025, at 10:32 a.m. A vehicle was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway on the south shoulder and collided with a tree.
The male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
State Police are currently investigating the crash with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
