Jackson, NY (April 29, 2025) – A crash with injuries occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Route 22 in the Town of Jackson, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported around 4:20 p.m. Deputies responded to the scene, where a car collided with an Amish buggy carrying seven individuals, including five children and two adults. Emergency medical personnel provided immediate care at the scene and transported all occupants of the buggy to Albany Medical Center with apparent non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities stated that the vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene. Investigators are working to identify the vehicle and its driver. No further details have been released at this time.
