Marlborough, NY – A tragic crash early Saturday morning claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman from Poughkeepsie. The fatal incident occurred around 5:22 a.m. on April 5, 2025, along Old Post Road in the town of Marlborough, according to New York State Police.
Investigators said Mariah Hyde was driving a 2014 Kia Sorento northbound on Old Post Road when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree along the eastern shoulder of the roadway. Hyde, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.
Troopers from State Police Highland responded immediately, with assistance from the Town of Marlborough Police Department.
Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this time, no contributing factors have been confirmed.
