Paris, NY (July 21, 2025) – A 16-year-old male was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital on Monday following a motorcycle crash in Oneida County. The accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 8 and Oneida Street in the Town of Paris around noon.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile was operating a 2024 Taro motorcycle in an easterly direction on Oneida Street, approaching the State Route 8 intersection. At the same time, a 2009 Volkswagen was traveling south on State Route 8.
The juvenile failed to yield the right of way, attempting to cross State Route 8, and collided with the front of the Volkswagen.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, and the juvenile was airlifted for treatment. The severity of his injuries has not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
