Phoenix, NY (May 17, 2025) – Katherine A. Jurenko, 51, of Phoenix, NY, was arrested late Saturday night after striking a parked car in a driveway on Bridge Street. The collision occurred around 10:32 p.m. when Jurenko, operating a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, hit her neighbor’s unoccupied vehicle while attempting to park.
State Police responded to the scene and later located Jurenko inside her residence. Following an investigation, Jurenko was arrested for driving while intoxicated. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.23%.
Jurenko faces charges including leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Oswego County CAP Court at a later date.
The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of impaired driving, and the community continues to prioritize road safety.
