Rochester, NY (June 11, 2025) – A crash occurred Wednesday on Interstate 490 near Culver Road involving a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, resulting in one deputy being injured.
The sheriff’s vehicle, which was occupied by four deputies from the agency’s Honor Guard detail, was traveling eastbound when another eastbound driver lost control and veered into their lane. This caused the patrol car to strike an uninvolved vehicle.
One deputy sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Fortunately, the other deputies were not injured in the incident.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the cause of the crash. Further details regarding the circumstances are expected as the investigation progresses.
