Rochester, NY (May 20, 2025) – A motor vehicle incident resulting in injuries occurred Tuesday afternoon on the westbound side of the Inner Loop near State St, prompting a swift emergency response from local authorities.
Emergency teams from Rochester Fire and Rescue arrived promptly on the scene to assist those injured. Paramedics provided Basic Life Support (BLS) care, indicating that while the injuries were not life-threatening, medical attention was needed for at least one individual.
The accident involved at least two vehicles and took place along a heavily traveled section of the Inner Loop near downtown Rochester. As emergency responders worked to treat the injured and clear the scene, traffic delays were experienced in the area. Although traffic flow was partially restored shortly after, residual delays continued for some time.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. The New York State Police and local law enforcement are reviewing evidence and witness statements to determine the factors that led to the crash.
