Rochester, NY (May 15, 2025) – A 54-year-old motorcyclist from Rochester was killed in a crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Driving Park Avenue. The incident occurred when the driver of an SUV, traveling south on Lake Avenue, attempted a left turn onto Driving Park Avenue. The motorcyclist, heading north, struck the side of the SUV.
Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities indicated that speed may have contributed to the crash, though charges have not been filed at this time. The occupants of the SUV were unharmed.
The intersection was reopened after the scene was cleared. The investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing.
