St. Clair Township, PA (October 14, 2025) – Ronald R. Drylie, 73, and Joel Hunt, 68, were killed Sunday afternoon, 12th October 2025, in a head-on collision on State Route 711, according to the Westmoreland and Cambria County Coroner’s Offices.

Drylie, driving a northbound pickup, crossed the center line and struck Hunt’s southbound SUV near the intersection, authorities said. Drylie was pronounced dead at the scene, and Hunt was transported by ambulance to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 5:43 p.m.

The crash was first reported to authorities around 4:13 p.m. Police kept a portion of Route 711 closed for the investigation, which was ongoing as of 8:30 p.m. Both deaths were ruled accidental, with blunt-force injuries cited as the cause.

No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the collision. Authorities have not released additional details regarding contributing factors, but the investigation continues.
