Syracuse, NY (June 12, 2025) – A serious crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger van occurred Thursday morning on Interstate 90 near Syracuse, leaving at least 15 people injured. Onondaga County officials reported that the tractor-trailer struck the van from behind, causing it to overturn.
Preliminary findings suggest the van, which may have missed Exit 13, was attempting to maneuver back when the collision occurred. Emergency responders arrived promptly to assist those injured, and all 15 individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. Authorities are working to determine the contributing factors, including the potential role of the van’s maneuver.
