Syracuse, NY (June 04, 2025) – A tractor-trailer struck the Park Street bridge in Syracuse on Wednesday afternoon, causing significant damage to the vehicle but no reported injuries.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. when the truck, operated by AY Logistics, a North Carolina-based trucking company, collided with the bridge. Syracuse Police Department spokesperson Kieran Coffey confirmed that the driver left the scene before officers arrived but was later located by law enforcement.
While no structural damage to the bridge was reported, the roof of the trailer sustained extensive damage, and pieces of the truck’s roof were found stuck to the bridge and scattered on the street below.
The driver received multiple tickets, including for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, exceeding clearance, and disobeying traffic control devices.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
