Syracuse, NY (October 10, 2025) – Two individuals were evaluated following a two-vehicle collision involving a Syracuse Police Department patrol car on Erie Boulevard East at the intersection with Devine Street on Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m., October 9th, 2025, temporarily shutting down part of Erie Boulevard East for about an hour. Preliminary reports suggest that the other vehicle likely struck the parked police car, which was not responding to an emergency at the time.
Police confirmed that neither officer sustained serious injuries, though both were evaluated on scene. The driver of the other vehicle refused medical treatment. Multiple police units were present to manage traffic and investigate the circumstances of the collision.
