Binghamton, NY (September 20, 2025) – A head-on crash on the West Side of Binghamton left two individuals injured Friday afternoon, according to local police. The collision occurred at around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Floral Avenue and West End Avenue, across from the Boulevard United Methodist Church.
Reports indicate that a car being pursued by Binghamton police collided with another vehicle, causing significant damage. The driver of the car, a man who had been traveling northbound on West End Avenue, fled the scene on foot after the crash. Police located him a short distance away on Beverly Place, near the Binghamton-Johnson City border.
The man, who sustained a head laceration, was treated by Johnson City fire department medics and transported to the hospital by a Union Volunteer Emergency Squad ambulance.
A woman in the vehicle that was struck was taken to a hospital by a Binghamton Fire Department ambulance for further evaluation.
The police temporarily closed sections of West End Avenue and Floral Avenue as investigators processed the scene. Authorities are still looking into the cause of the crash, though further details were not available at the time of reporting.
