Two Pedestrians Killed After Being Struck by IndiGO Bus

Indiana, PA (October 21, 2025) – Two pedestrians tragically lost their lives Monday afternoon after being struck by an Indiana County Transit Authority (IndiGO) bus in downtown Indiana, according to Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl.

The deadly collision occurred around 2:00 p.m. on 20th October, 2025, at the intersection of Philadelphia and Seventh Streets, where the westbound bus struck the pedestrians in the roadway.

Authorities confirmed that an adult female was pronounced dead at the scene, while an adult male was transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC) and later pronounced deceased. The bus operator was also taken to IRMC for evaluation.

As of Monday evening, police have not released the identities of the victims pending notification of their families. The Indiana Borough Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
