Spring Township, PA (November 9, 2025) – A 12-year-old child was seriously injured and airlifted to Geisinger Danville following a four-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Centre County, authorities confirmed.
The Spring Township Police Department responded to the 800 block of Pleasant View Boulevard around 3 p.m. for reports of a serious accident involving multiple vehicles. Officers arrived to find extensive damage across several cars and two victims in one of the vehicles an adult female driver and her 12-year-old passenger.
The child was flown to Geisinger Danville with severe injuries, while the woman was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center with moderate injuries.
According to police, 25-year-old Esmanbek Umarov was attempting to pass in a no-passing zone when his vehicle collided head-on with the victims’ car. Investigators determined that Umarov was impaired by both alcohol and controlled substances at the time of the crash.
Two additional vehicles sustained secondary damage due to the initial impact. The Centre County Crash Reconstruction Team and investigating officers remain at work on the case.
Umarov faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, reckless endangerment, careless driving causing serious injury, and reckless driving, according to online court records.
