Bicyclist critically hurt in Rochester

Rochester, NY (14th November 2025) – A bicyclist in his 40s is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Friday evening on Rochester’s west side, according to the Rochester Police Department.

The collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. on 14th Nov, 2025, near the intersection of Ames Street and Maple Street, where the man was riding his bicycle when a vehicle struck him. He sustained severe upper-body injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene, and early findings indicate that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be contributing factors. The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.
