Car crashes into Camp Hill elementary school

Camp Hill, PA (November 4, 2025) – Authorities say a car crashed into the gymnasium at Hoover Elementary School in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the vehicle collided with the wall of the building, breaching the gymnasium. Fortunately, no students or staff were injured, and everyone inside the school was safely accounted for.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to assess the damage and ensure the area was secure. The driver of the car received medical attention, though their condition has not been publicly released.

Following the incident, kindergarten students were dismissed early, while first and second graders were sent home shortly after. Afternoon kindergarten classes were canceled for the remainder of the day.

Parents and students described the moment as frightening but expressed relief that no one was harmed. Photos from the scene show a white sedan with significant front-end damage resting against the exterior of the gymnasium.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
