Douglas Kicas, 57, Killed in Crash on Route 194

Littlestown, PA (October 15, 2025) – A tragic crash early Tuesday morning in Germany Township claimed the life of a 57-year-old Littlestown man, identified as Douglas Kicas.

The incident occurred around 5:12 a.m., 14th October, 2025, on Frederick Pike near the intersection of Georgetown Road and Kingsdale Road. According to the Adams County Coroner’s Office, Kicas was driving a 2003 Ford Escape when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign for Frederick Pike, causing a collision with a southbound 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The impact occurred when the F-150 struck the driver’s side of Kicas’ vehicle. Kicas, who was restrained at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other fatalities were reported.

The driver of the Ford F-150 attempted to brake to avoid the crash but was unable to do so in time. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident, and the roadway was briefly closed as crews cleared the scene.
