Lee, NY – 19-Years-Old Driver Dies After Car Crashes Into Tree on Steadman Road

Lee, N.Y. (November 2, 2025) – Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatal crash Sunday night on Steadman Road in the town of Lee.

At approximately 8:40 p.m. on 2nd Nov, 2025, authorities received an iPhone crash notification reporting a possible accident. Deputies found that the vehicle, traveling south on Steadman Road, left the eastern shoulder of the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, 19 years old, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff’s deputies have not released the name of the driver as of Monday, pending family notification.

The road was closed between Lee Center Taberg and Streun roads for several hours as the investigation continued. It has since been reopened.
