York County, PA – Injuries Reported After Car and Tractor-Trailer Crash Down Power Lines on Susquehanna Trail

Crash between tractor-trailer, car

York County, PA (November 9, 2025) – A crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer brought down power lines and caused road closures in Dover Township on Sunday evening, according to officials from the Strinestown Community Fire Company 26.

Firefighters, who were initially en route to a separate structure fire, came across the accident around 7:36 p.m. near Copenhaffer and Susquehanna Trail. Crews immediately called for EMS and Verizon after discovering that the collision had knocked down a pole and live wires into the roadway.

Responding firefighters provided first aid to the injured, controlled fuel and fluid spills, and cleared debris from the area. Fire police temporarily shut down the roadway to allow for emergency operations and ensure public safety while utility workers repaired the downed lines.

The number and severity of injuries have not yet been confirmed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Crashes involving commercial trucks often result in infrastructure damage and serious personal injuries, particularly when electrical lines or poles are affected. Under Pennsylvania negligence law, liability may extend to multiple parties, including drivers, trucking companies, or maintenance providers, if mechanical failure, improper training, or driver error contributed to the wreck.

Victims injured in such accidents may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income, and property damage. Consulting a Pennsylvania big rig accident lawyer can help clarify liability and strengthen your claim.
