Newfane, NY (April 25, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed Friday morning following a collision with a truck on Hess Road near Charlotteville Road, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of the crash and found the pedestrian lying in the northbound lane. Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene, the individual was pronounced dead due to trauma sustained in the collision.
An initial investigation revealed that a 2011 Freightliner truck traveling northbound on Hess Road struck the pedestrian. The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of the next of kin. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
