Paris, N.Y. (November 28, 2025) – A 26-year-old driver was injured after his car struck a guardrail on Route 8 near Oneida Street in the Town of Paris Friday morning, just after 8:30 a.m.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as Robert Frey. Deputies confirmed that slippery road conditions were the cause of the single-vehicle crash.
Mr. Frey was transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were fortunately non-life-threatening. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by hazardous weather on area roads.
