Rochester, NY – 14-Year-Old Dies After Car Crash on Bloss Street

Rochester, NY (June 04, 2025) – A 14-year-old passenger, Jazzmeir Mouzon-Henton, tragically died three days after being seriously injured in a crash on Bloss Street involving a stolen vehicle. The crash occurred on May 3, 2024, when the westbound vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Anthony Barnes Jr., was speeding and driving erratically.

Witnesses reported that several passengers were hanging out of the car’s windows when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to fishtail, overturn, and come to rest in a yard. Six teens were in the car, ranging from ages 11 to 17.

Barnes pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter for his role in the fatal crash.
